Kirti Mandir Is A Three Storey Building. It Was Acquire By Great Grand Father Of Gandhi Ji. The Foundation Stone Of Modern Structure And Attractive Kirti Mandir Was Laid In 1947 . The Whole Credit Of Constructing This National Memorial Of Mahatma Gandhi Goes To The Famous Industrialist, Nanji Bhai Kalidas Mehta, Who Not Only Initiated The Idea To Build A Memorial But Also Donated The Whole Money Purchase The Ancestral House And Also To Build New Complex Called Kirti Mandir.

Kirti Mandir Was Complete In 1950, By The Time Gandhi Ji Was No More. Kirti Mandri Was Declare Open For The Public On 27th May, 1950 By The Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Afterwards This Beautifull Memorial Was Hand Over To The Central Government Of India. The Height Of The Temple Is 79 Ft Which Symbolizes The 79 Years Of Lifespan Of Gandhi Ji. Kirti Mandir Is The Symbol Of Religious Integration Of Six Religions Which Are Hindu, Jain Parsi, Christian And Muslim Which Symbolize Gandhi Ji;S Respect Towards All Religion.

It Is A Huge ‘E’ Shape Structure Comprising Of Terrace, Domes, Balconies And A Shikhara. Kirti Mandir Is Frequently Visit By Both Domestic And International Tourists In A Huge Number. The Place Of Gandhiji’s Birth Is Mark With ‘Swastika’ For Easy Identification.
