KIRTI MANDIR HISTORY BARODA

KIRTI MANDIR HISTORY: It is present in the Baroda city. It is the gravestone of Gaekwads. Kirti Mandir was built by Maharaja sayajirao Gaekwad III. In 1936, its built as a part of the celebration of diamond jubilee. Due to there are 5 paintings of raja ravi varma in the temple.

Smilarly The paintings shows the various phases of the Mahabharata. Probably the city was also refer as chandravati, viravati & vadpatra. It was call as vadpatra due to banyan trees present.

Hence Kirti Mandir is present near the vishwamitra bridge. Because the structure is dedicate to lord Shiva. A “E” shape building id present which have balconies. Even more domes & shikharas. Approximately,it seems like  the central shikhara rises to 35 metres. The interiors are decorated & are the main attractions.  Due to Photos of Gaekwad family & statues are also displaying. Therefore  construction cost 50,000.
