KABIRVAD BHARUCH :- On a small river island Narmada river, Kabirvad is locate in Bharuch district, Gujarat, India. With 15th century mystic – poet Kabir, the tree and place is associate. There is temple in the district which is dedicate to Kabir.
ABOUT KABIRVAD :-
Nearchus, an admiral of Alexander the Great, describe a large speciemen on the banks of the Narmada River, possibly Kabirvad. The tree’s canopy was so extensive it shelter 7000 men.
By James Forbes it was describe later that in his Oriental Memoirs. Likewise, As nearly 610 m in circumference with over 3000 trunks. Currently the area of its canopy is 17,520 with a perimeter of 641 m
From Bharuch to Jhanor via Shuklatirth, there is a place call as Kabirmadhi. From here a boat ride brings people to the river island. This is an place which holds a special importance for devotees.
A gigantic Banyan Tree is main attraction here covering an area of 3.7 acers. The other attraction are lotus shape marble temple, Kabir museum and boat ride on Narmada River.
