Bhikhudan Gadhvi was born on 19th September 1948 in Manekwada. A village in Junagadh district of the Indian State of Gujarat. The family lives in Junagaadh in Gujarat.  He is an Indian Folk Singer. He is also a songwriter as well. Bhikhudan Gadhvi is known as a  subscriber of Dayro, a narrative singing tradition of Gujarat.


The Government of India awarded him the first highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016 for the contribution to folk music. He is a receiver of the Gujarat Gaurav Award of the Government of Gujarat and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.

The fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri was award by the Government of India. For his contribution to Folk Music. In this field he has started his career at the age of ten (10), after completing his secondary school education.  At the age of twenty (20) he made his debut as a singer.

He has perform in many countries such as the US, UK  and Indonesia. He has over 350 audio albums to credit which include popular tracks like  Bhadanu Makan and Khandaninu Khamir.
